3B’s OFFICIAL’S BASKETBALL CAMP

Thank you for showing interest in the 3B’s Official’s Basketball Camp for 2010.  “The best 2 Man Officials Camp in the Northwest”.

Some hi-lites of the camp are:  You will have some classroom instruction, you will be working Boys Varsity and Boys JV games, you will be videoed for half a game with a voice-over observer, (either Howard Mayo or Bob Hilsenteger), you will sit with Brett Young and go over your video, and you will work many half games with an observer for each game viewing you and then talking with you after your half game is over.  This camp is about “doing it” the right way, whether you believe it’s the right way or not.  “Exactism” is something we “all” need to strive towards and that is what you will learn to do at the 3B’s Official’s Camp!  It is not a camp for those who want to be told “how good they are”!  We feel that in having Howard Mayo and Bob Hilsenteger as Camp Leaders that we have two of the best mechanic and floor position instructors for “two man basketball officiating” in the entire Northwest.  And Bob Frostad has become a “tireless soul” in trying to get the PBOA members all on the “same page” when it comes to mechanics and floor position, and the “do everything and anything” guy at the 3B’s Camp!  Of course the credentials of Howard Mayo are endless and for Bob Hilsenteger they shape up as 39 years as a High School Basketball Official, 35 years as an instructor in the 2^nd year classroom of the PBOA, and 18 state tourneys.  We feel that all “campers” will have a wealth of experience to draw from and that there should be many insightful discussions.  All camp evaluators will be Varsity Officials with many of them having worked “top level” and state tourney games.

The camp will furnish you with lite eats on Saturday morning and lunch for Saturday, lite eats on Sunday morning and lunch for Sunday, and if you wish a “get together on Saturday evening after the Saturday Games.  Lunch time both Saturday and Sunday will also be “classroom” time!  It is a “learning” lunch time.  Of course you will receive a camp tee shirt.

The camp is cut off at the first 22 pre-paid campers.  The coast will be $130.00.  May 31^st is the cut-off for any refunds, (exception:  family situation, injury, and death).  Once you commit, if you choose to only attend one or two days, no refund of money.
